|This unit focuses on the interplay between research, policy and practice, and the need for teachers to critically reflect on their practices and transform them as a consequence of this analysis. The central focus of this unit is on the design, implementation, and reporting of a Professional Learning Research Project during the early childhood internship. The Research Project articulates the development and/or change of educational practice relevant to the intern's practice during the internship period. It generally relates to some improvement of, or significant development in teaching practice in the early childhood centre and the impacts on the intended outcomes of children's learning. In addition to a focus on researching in|
context, interns are expected to demonstrate current knowledge and proficiency in using appropriate ICT tools to engage, support and/or document children's learning and to report their research findings.
