Classes: 1x 1-hr lecture/wk for 6 weeks and 1x 1-hr tutorial/wk for 6 weeks and 15 hrs fieldwork placement

Assessment: 1x fieldwork report 1500 wds (45%) and 1x professional statement 750 wds (30%) and 1x tutorial presentation equiv 500 wds (25%)

This unit addresses mandatory requirements to be met by every graduate pre-service teacher. Issues relating to the education of students with a disability will be addressed through working with a student/s with a disability, conducting tutorials that highlight evidence-based practices for working with students with special education needs, and engaging in lectures and tutorials that promote attitudes, knowledge and beliefs that students with disabilities will access and participate in quality education programs. Please note that there is an additional compulsory half-day requirement of special education participation associated with the post-internship conference.
